2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG. When you visit the website, the hosting provider may process technical data necessary to deliver the requested pages and maintain the security and stability of the service.

Depending on the technical configuration, these data may include your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested resource, browser and operating-system information, the referring page and technical status information.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website. Server log data are retained in accordance with the applicable hosting configuration and are deleted when no longer necessary, unless a longer period is required for security investigations or by law.

3. Cookies and technical storage

This website does not use cookies for advertising, profiling or visitor analytics.

The Joomla content management system may use technically necessary session cookies or comparable storage to provide requested functions, including form processing and security checks. Such data are not used to create advertising profiles.

Where storing information on, or accessing information from, your device is strictly necessary to provide a service you expressly request, consent is not required under Section 25(2) TDDDG. Any associated processing of personal data is assessed separately under the GDPR.

4. Contact by e-mail and contact form

You can contact me by e-mail or through the contact form on this website. When you use the contact form, the information you enter — including your name, e-mail address, subject and message — is processed to receive, handle and respond to your enquiry. The contact form sends your message by e-mail using the website's configured mail service. Your enquiry and any subsequent correspondence may be stored in the receiving mailbox.

Depending on the nature of the enquiry, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps taken at your request before entering into a contract or for contractual communications, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. The legitimate interest is to receive and respond to communications addressed to me.

To protect the form against automated submissions, the website uses a Joomla Proof-of-Work CAPTCHA. This requires your browser to perform a computational check. The check is provided through the website rather than through an external CAPTCHA verification service. Technical data necessary to process and verify a submission may be handled by the website and its hosting infrastructure. The legal basis for any related processing of personal data is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in preventing spam and abuse.

The information you submit is required to process your enquiry; without the necessary contact details and message, I may be unable to respond. Enquiries and correspondence are deleted when they are no longer needed for their purpose, unless statutory retention obligations or other lawful grounds require longer storage.

5. External links

This website may contain links to external websites and services. When you follow such a link, the respective provider may process personal data according to its own privacy policy. The linked provider is responsible for its own data processing.

6. Data retention and recipients

Personal data are retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant processing purpose or as required by applicable legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the type of data, the purpose of the communication and any applicable legal requirements.

Technical service providers involved in hosting and e-mail delivery may process data insofar as necessary to operate the website and deliver communications. Data are not sold or shared for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have the right to request access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and, where applicable, data portability (Art. 20).

You also have the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, please contact me using the e-mail address given in Section 1.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR (Art. 77 GDPR).

The data protection supervisory authority in Lower Saxony is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy may be updated if the website, its technical functions or applicable legal requirements change.
